The Liz Lawrence Echo of Excellence Scholarship celebrates the legacy of Liz Lawrence, whose passion, generosity, and dedication left a lasting mark on the sonography community. This scholarship invites students to share their own voices and stories, carrying forward an echo of her excellence into the future of the profession.

By writing a 300-word essay on why they chose the field of sonography, students have the chance to attend the annual symposium free of charge. More than an award, this scholarship is a way to honor the dreams, purpose, and determination that guide the next generation of sonographers—those who, like Liz, will inspire others and shape the future of our field.

Contest Requirements:

• Entries will be judged by the current board of the MSS
• Entries must not exceed 300 words
• Entries must not contain any identifying information (student name, school, etc.)
• Entries are due each year on July 1st
• Winner will be announced on August 1st
